A man from Riverside, Colin Hansford, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting four individuals, including two children. Hansford, 45, confessed to three counts of rape, two of which involved a child under 13, as well as two counts of gross sexual imposition and 13 counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor.
Under the terms of his plea agreement, Hansford has been designated a Tier III sex offender and will be required to register his address every 90 days for the rest of his life. This comes after he was indicted on over 100 counts in October 2022, with 82 counts being dismissed as part of the plea deal.
An investigation, initiated in September 2022, uncovered a USB drive containing numerous images of child pornography and videos of Hansford sexually assaulting two adults and two children. The victims were identified as a 12-year-old and a 3-year-old, with allegations that Hansford drugged the older victims prior to the assaults.
This case serves as a sobering reminder of the horrendous acts that some individuals are capable of, and the importance of seeking justice for the victims.
