The Los Angeles Police Department has released a shocking video that shows a tragic incident involving a 75-year-old woman who was struck and killed by two pickup trucks in Sunland. One of the trucks involved in the collision fled the scene, while the other stayed behind.
The victim, identified as Yong Gustavson from Los Angeles, was attempting to cross Foothill Boulevard past Sunland Boulevard at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday when she was first hit by a red pickup truck heading northbound on Foothill Boulevard. As she struggled to get up, another northbound black Toyota Tacoma also struck her.
Emergency services from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, they pronounced the woman dead. The driver of the red pickup truck failed to stop and provide assistance, which is required by law.
On the other hand, the driver of the black Toyota Tacoma did stop and cooperate with the police. Now, the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division is seeking information from the public about this tragic collision.
