LAPD Requests Help in Finding Hit-and-Run Driver Responsible for Severe Pedestrian Injury

Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in locating the hit-and-run driver responsible for a pedestrian’s severe injuries in the Lincoln Heights area. The victim, Benjamin Guy, a 64-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was crossing the intersection of Griffin Avenue and Avenue 31 on August 14th at approximately 5:15 a.m. The Los Angeles Police Department described the vehicle as a “possible beige-colored vehicle” that fled the scene.

As a result of the accident, Guy sustained critical injuries and was promptly taken to a hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, he is currently in a coma, but his condition remains stable, according to the police.

The city of Los Angeles has offered a standing reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information leading to the resolution of a non-fatal hit-and-run case.
