LAPD in Search of Hit-and-Run Driver Responsible for Causing Severe Injury to Pedestrian

Authorities are seeking assistance from the public in locating the responsible hit-and-run driver who caused severe injuries to a pedestrian in the Lincoln Heights area, resulting in the victim being hospitalized in a coma.

The incident occurred on August 14 at around 5:15 a.m. when Benjamin Guy, a 64-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was crossing the intersection of Griffin Avenue and Avenue 31. He was struck by a vehicle, possibly beige in color, that fled the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Guy was immediately transported to a hospital for the treatment of his severe injuries, as reported by the LAPD.

“He is currently in a coma but in stable condition,” said the police.

The city of Los Angeles has offered a reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to the resolution of this non-fatal hit-and-run case.
