Knicks on Fire: Dominant Performance Against Hornets

November 18 – The Charlotte Hornets addressed at least one potential distraction by getting Miles Bridges back in action.

However, the Hornets still need to figure out how to start winning games, which has been a challenge for them this season.

Charlotte faces a tough match against the New York Knicks on Saturday night, adding to their challenges.

Up until Friday, Bridges had not played an NBA game for over a year due to a domestic violence case. After a 10-game suspension, he finally returned to the court in Charlotte’s 130-99 home loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Bridges made an impact, scoring 17 points in 33 minutes in his season debut as a reserve. Coach Steve Clifford mentioned the positive energy that Bridges brought to the struggling team.

“I know we lost the game, but it was good to be in front of the fans again,” Bridges said. “I always feel like I can do better.”

Meanwhile, the surging New York Knicks are in a good position with five wins in their last six games, two of which were on the road.

Charlotte needs to regroup after three consecutive losses. Bridges’ comfort during his return is a sign that he is focused on basketball.

“I was happy with the response I got from everybody,” Bridges said. “That’s all that matters. I’m just here to play basketball. I’m just trying to get out there and help the team as much as I can.”

Center Mark Williams, playing his first game with Bridges, recognized the impact that Bridges could have on the team.

“For him to be on the floor with us will be a big boost, especially recently with all the guys that have been out,” Williams said.

The Knicks are in good form, winning four of their last seven road games. Their latest win saw them dominate the Washington Wizards with standout performances from Jalen Brunson and Immanuel Quickley.

“I thought Donte gave us great minutes and then Quick gave us great minutes,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said. “So we got terrific wing play from those two guys.”

The upcoming game is a rematch of the Knicks’ previous victory over the Hornets, where they scored over 30 points in each quarter. However, the status of RJ Barrett, who has been dealing with migraines, remains uncertain.
