Kevin Spacey Made Inappropriate Advances Towards Me After a Mishap Involving His Dog

The ongoing sex assault trial of Kevin Spacey in the UK took an interesting turn on Tuesday when the jury listened to a recorded police interview given by one of the alleged victims. According to a report from The Guardian, during the interview, the man recalled being at a pub in the Cotswolds with friends where he met Spacey. Afterward, Spacey invited them back to his place to continue the party, offering them alcohol and marijuana. They agreed and while reentering the house after smoking, the man accidentally let Spacey’s dog out. After retrieving the dog and apologizing, the man detailed the events that followed, as reported by the Guardian:

  • “He [Spacey] came towards me in a huggy motion and said: ‘Don’t worry about it, it is cool, it is cool.’ We did an awkward man-hug, as I call it—he hugged me, I did a sort of pat on the back type of thing. At that point he kissed my neck twice and grabbed my crotch. He said the words: ‘Be cool, be cool’ twice. I put my arm between us and pushed him against a wall. I said: ‘I am sorry, man, I don’t bat for that team.'”

According to the man, Spacey’s face immediately showed panic, with his eyes widening, before Spacey left the room. The man admitted feeling shocked and teary-eyed, but managed to shake off the incident and leave. Spacey is currently facing 12 sex offense charges related to alleged attacks that occurred between 2001 and 2013 on four men in their 30s and 40s. During that time, Spacey worked at the Old Vic Theatre. As reported by CBS News, prosecutors have portrayed Spacey as a “sexual bully.” Spacey has pleaded not guilty, and the trial is expected to conclude in late July. (Read more Kevin Spacey stories.)
