Aug. 21 (UPI) — Paramount+ unveiled the exciting first teaser for Good Burger 2, the highly anticipated sequel, on Monday. This fall, the film will be available for streaming on the platform.

In the 30-second preview, we catch a glimpse of Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reprising their roles as Dexter and Ed, respectively. Ed accidentally hits Dexter with his car, resulting in a hilarious flip through the air and a smooth landing in the passenger seat.

A fresh batch of staff members joins Dexter and Ed at the Good Burger fast food restaurant, warmly greeting customers with their iconic line, “Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can we take your order?” Towards the end, Ed embarrasses Dexter in a fancy restaurant due to a misunderstanding about complimentary water.

The origin of Good Burger can be traced back to a sketch on Nickelodeon’s All That comedy show during Mitchell and Thompson’s teenage years. The Good Burger movie was released in 1997.

Thompson has been a cast member of Saturday Night Live since 2003, appearing in various films and TV series. Mitchell has also remained active in the entertainment industry, both in films and television, and made a comeback for the All That revival in 2019.

The sequel, Good Burger 2, brings back original cast members Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg, and Carmen Electra. Additionally, the film features new talent including Lil Rel Howery, Jillian Bell, Kamaia Fairburn, Alex R. Hibbert, Fabrizio Guido, Elizabeth Hinkler, Emily Hinkler, and Anabel Graetz.

Thompson and Mitchell first announced the sequel in March, with the screenplay for Good Burger 2 being written by Kevin Kopelow, Heath Seifert, and James III. Phil Traill helms the director’s chair, and Thompson and Mitchell serve as producers alongside executive producers Kopelow, Seifert, and John Ryan Jr.
