June 23 (UPI) — Kelly Clarkson has made a comeback with a brand new album.
The 41-year-old singer and TV personality released her 10th studio album, titled Chemistry, on Friday.
Chemistry marks Clarkson’s return to non-holiday albums after a hiatus of nearly six years since the release of Meaning of Life in 2017. The album includes hit singles such as “Mine,” “Me,” “Favorite Kind of High,” “I Hate Love,” “Red Flag Collector,” “Lighthouse,” and nine other songs.
The album delves into Clarkson’s personal journey in the aftermath of her separation from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, whom she split from in June 2020 after four years of marriage.
During an appearance on Today, Clarkson revealed that she had a “little text exchange” with Blackstock about the album. However, she couldn’t recall the details of how it happened. She emphasized that the album captures not only the pain but also the beauty and complexity of their relationship.
Clarkson and Blackstock share two children together, their daughter River Rose (9) and son Remy (7).
