July 10 (UPI) — Beloved cast member of Real Housewives, Kelly Bensimon, has recently unveiled her upcoming marriage plans.
The popular 55-year-old television personality surprised her followers by sharing the news of her engagement to financier Scott Litner on Monday.
“The level of happiness I’ve experienced at this stage of my life is beyond anything I ever imagined. It truly feels like a fresh start,” Bensimon expressed in a statement given to E! News. “Our love story could even inspire novels.”
Litner, 54, proposed during a romantic getaway at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, over the Fourth of July weekend.
“I was deeply touched when he chose a place from my childhood as the setting for his proposal,” Bensimon shared.
Page Six confirmed the news, reporting Bensimon’s engagement with Litner.
“Kelly is overjoyed with her engagement and eagerly awaits the start of this new chapter in her life,” stated her representative.
Bensimon was previously married to renowned fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon and is a proud mother of two daughters, Sea, 25, and Teddy, 23.
Bensimon and Litner have been together for approximately one year, steadily building their relationship.
Fans will remember Bensimon from her appearances in Seasons 2-4 of the popular reality series Real Housewives of New York City. She is set to make a comeback in Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, an exciting new show to be streamed on Peacock.
