A jury has been chosen for the assault trial of Jonathan Majors.
The jury will consist of six members – three men and three women, along with two alternates. Opening statements are scheduled for Monday, and the trial is expected to last two weeks before the jury’s deliberations.

Jonathan Majors appeared at New York City Criminal Court for his assault trial, which commenced after several delays. Accompanied by his girlfriend Meagan Good, Majors was dressed in a dark grey, double-breasted suit and fedora.
The actor, known for his roles in Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “Creed III,” was arrested in Manhattan on March 25 after a domestic dispute with his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Majors has pleaded not guilty to four charges of assault and aggravated harassment, while a fifth charge of strangulation has been dropped. If convicted, he faces up to a year in jail.
Jury selection began on Wednesday and continued on Thursday, concluding after a lunch break. The judge noted that some potential jurors expressed prior knowledge of the case or familiarity with Majors, revealing potential biases.
Before the jury selection, the attorneys and Judge Gaffey resolved a “limited evidentiary issue” in a private hearing.
Following the arrest, Majors’ ex-girlfriend Jabbari accused him of assault and was granted a temporary order of protection against him, barring all direct or third-party contact.
Despite that, Jabbari herself was arrested on Oct. 26 in connection to the March incident but was not prosecuted by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.
