July London Underground Walkouts: Dates Revealed

London Underground staff are scheduled to go on strike for four consecutive days later this month due to their ongoing dispute over pay, pensions, and working conditions. The Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) announced the walkouts, while Tube drivers represented by the Aslef union have also announced a separate strike over pensions and working conditions. The strikes are set to take place on July 23, 25, 26, 27, and 28. The exact lines and sections of the Tube network that will be affected have not yet been specified. The RMT and Aslef unions have expressed their concerns over job cuts and changes that would detrimentally impact workers’ lives and working arrangements. Transport for London (TfL) has urged the unions to engage in discussions to seek a resolution. The RMT has also stated that 20,000 rail workers across the UK will strike in July.
