FT Alphaville’s pub quiz is BACK! We’re bringing you a quiz that covers everything finance, money, and economics-related. Come join us at Painters’ Hall, a glamorous location in the City of London that can accommodate 30 teams of 4-6 people. Save the date: 2nd November*
With the success of our previous quiz, where the winning team got almost 50%, we believe we’ve found the right balance. However, this time, we might make it even easier. So gather your smartest friends and get ready to enter the arena.
After carefully reviewing our financial performance and Robin’s travel budget, we’ve had to raise ticket prices (apologies, Andrew). Tickets now cost £25 per person, which includes the option to choose a gourmet beef, chicken, or veggie/vegan burger with chips. Payment will be required upfront, so be prepared to receive reminders.
The winners will receive a bespoke and fantastic prize.
The important stuff
Where: The quiz will take place at the Livery Hall in Painters’ Hall, located near Mansion House Station. It’s conveniently close to Bank, St Paul’s, Blackfriars, FT headquarters, and local IT specialists Bloomberg. It’s a 20-minute journey from Canary Wharf and just over half an hour by cab from City Airport. Note: Helicopter parking is not provided.
When: The quiz will be held on Thursday, November 2. Sign-in will start at 6:15pm BST, with the quiz commencing promptly after.
How: To participate, email [email protected] with the subject line PQLDN23-2**. Teams of 4-6 people are welcome, so gather your friends! In your email, CC all team members, provide the team captain’s mobile number, and state your team’s name. Tickets may sell out quickly, so don’t delay. Once your entry is confirmed, a member of the Alphaville Live Events Combine will contact you regarding payment and food options. Please note that space is limited and tables will be assigned on a first-pay-first-served basis***
Team names: While no points will be awarded for the best team name, there will be a shout-out. Feel free to let your imagination run wild. However, if you wish to remain anonymous, avoid picking a name like “WANdisco Sales Desk.”
