Johnson Forced Out of Parliament Due to Party Scandal

Former British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has resigned his seat in Parliament after an investigation recommended his suspension for misleading Parliament about parties he hosted during the pandemic lockdown. This comes on the heels of a report that was not made public which found the committee investigating him to be biased. In his resignation letter, Johnson attacked current Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, for his handling of Brexit, tax policy, and insufficiently conservative approaches. Despite leaving parliament, Johnson hinted that he might not be finished with political life entirely. A byelection will be held to replace his seat.
