John Bolton Uses a Four-Letter Term to Characterize Trump’s Mug Shot

John Bolton didn’t hesitate to provide his assessment of Donald Trump’s recent mug shot, which was released after the former president was booked in the Georgia election interference case. Bolton, speaking on CNN, expressed that Trump could have presented himself differently by smiling or looking more benign, but instead, he appeared like a thug.

Bolton, who previously served as Trump’s national security advisor, suggested that the image was likely orchestrated to convey intimidation towards the prosecutors and judges involved. He also criticized the majority of Republicans vying for the presidential nomination, as six out of eight candidates from the recent debate stated they would support Trump even if he is convicted. Bolton claimed that only two candidates provided the correct response, emphasizing that believing in a law-and-order philosophy should apply to everyone, including Donald Trump.

Furthermore, Bolton contended that in a sane society, a convicted felon should step aside from seeking political positions. He advocated for the Republican National Committee to establish a rule that removes a convicted candidate from the ticket. Like many others who worked under Trump, Bolton has released a revealing book criticizing his former boss and frequently appears in the media to voice his concerns about the former president.

In response, Trump has resorted to name-calling, referring to Bolton as a “liar,” a “dope,” and a “sick puppy.” Bolton previously disclosed that he voted for Trump in 2016 but abstained from doing so in 2020, instead choosing to write in the name of a conservative candidate. He indicated that he would follow the same approach if Trump becomes the Republican nominee next year.
