Jared Goff, Lions quarterback, indulges in a delightful Italian escape alongside fiancée Christen Harper

Jared Goff, the quarterback for the Lions, and his fiancée, Christen Harper, a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, have been enjoying a delightful summer together. The couple recently jetted off to Italy, where they indulged in the beautiful beaches of Capri and took part in cooking classes in Amalfi, as seen in their Instagram posts. Harper shared a caption from Thursday, humorously mentioning their love for cooking, eating, and drinking. Photos and videos of their dreamy vacation have been peppered throughout Harper’s Instagram feed.

One video captures Harper’s radiant smile as she strolls through a charming garden, savoring a glass of wine. In another post, Goff can be seen peacefully sitting in a chair, gazing out at the water. This romantic getaway comes almost a year after they got engaged in a picturesque beach setting. Harper couldn’t contain her excitement, expressing that it was the best night of her life. The couple, together since 2019, plans to tie the knot next summer.

While savoring their leisure time, Goff and Harper are aware that training camp awaits them in July. Goff, who was traded to the Lions in a blockbuster deal in 2021, is entering his third season with the team. This trade involved Matthew Stafford, who went to the Rams. Harper shared the life-changing experience of the trade with Stafford’s wife, Kelly, on her “Morning After” podcast earlier this month.

Harper admits that she was initially skeptical when she heard they were moving to Detroit. She had never been there before and had only heard negative things about the city. However, upon arrival, she was pleasantly surprised by how amazing Detroit turned out to be.

Goff, who was originally the first overall pick by the Rams in 2016, had a successful second season with the Lions, throwing for 4,438 yards and 29 touchdowns with only seven interceptions. His progress has impressed Lions coach Dan Campbell, who recently commented that Goff has become an even better quarterback in Detroit than he was in Los Angeles. Campbell acknowledges Goff’s dedication and improvement, stating that he has expanded his skill set and is mentally sharper.

The Lions, who finished last season with a 9-8 record, will kick off the upcoming season against the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Thursday, September 7th.
