June 21 (UPI) — Paramount+ has released an exciting trailer for the upcoming movie Zoey 102, featuring the return of Jamie Lynn Spears.
The streaming service unveiled the trailer on Tuesday, providing fans with a sneak peek into the highly anticipated film.
Zoey 102 serves as a sequel to the incredibly popular Nickelodeon series Zoey 101, which aired from 2005 to 2008. The original show followed the adventures of Zoey Brooks (played by Jamie Lynn Spears), her brother, and their friends at Pacific Coast Academy, a fictional boarding school.
In the new film, Jamie Lynn Spears reprises her role as Zoey, and fans can expect to see familiar faces including Erin Sanders as Quinn Pensky, Sean Flynn as Chase Matthews, Matthew Underwood as Logan Reese, Christopher Massey as Michael Barret, Abby Wilde as Stacey Dillsen, and Jack Salvatore Jr. as Mark Del Figgalo.
The sequel takes place as the alumni of Pacific Coast Academy reunite in Malibu to celebrate Quinn and Logan’s extravagant wedding, resulting in a memorable high school reunion.
“Over a decade after the iconic series ended, Zoey 102 finds Zoey Brooks navigating through life and love in her 20s. Zoey and Chase haven’t been in contact since the summer they didn’t end up in Hawaii together. However, when Quinn and Logan announce their wedding, Zoey and Chase find themselves in the wedding party,” reveals the official synopsis.
Monica Sherer and Madeline Whitby have penned the script for Zoey 102, while Nancy Hower takes on the directorial duties. The highly anticipated film is set to premiere on July 27, exclusively on Paramount+.
