Jake Cuenca and Richard Gutierrez recently spent time in Japan shooting for their action-drama series “The Iron Heart.” In an interview with Inquirer Entertainment, Jake expressed his love for acting and his desire to constantly be working. He mentioned that if he’s not doing a movie or TV show, he wants to perform in a stage play. He specifically mentioned wanting to do a play on his birthday in December instead of throwing a party.
During their time in Japan, Jake, Richard, and director Lester Pimentel Ong filmed the finale of the show’s second season. Jake hinted at the possibility of a third season and expressed his excitement to continue working with Star Creatives, the show’s producer. He acknowledged the importance of taking breaks for recalibration and coming up with fresh ideas.
In addition to “The Iron Heart,” Jake also signed up for the extension of his TV sitcom “Jack and Jill sa Diamond Hills” and another TV show. He attended the recent ABS-CBN Ball 2023 by himself instead of walking the red carpet with his girlfriend Chie Filomeno, stating that he wanted her to have her own moment. Jake is supportive of Chie’s acting career and praised her performance in the movie “A Very Good Girl.” He mentioned that they work together to refine their acting skills and have a balanced relationship.
