J Balvin’s Unexpected Reaction to Bad Bunny’s Controversial ‘Thunder Y Lightning’ Diss

J Balvin Claps Back at Bad Bunny’s Diss on “Thunder Y Lightning”

J Balvin is firing back at Bad Bunny after the Puerto Rican rapper seemingly dissed him in his latest song “Thunder Y Lightning.” Bad Bunny dropped his new album, “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana,” last Friday, marking his fifth studio release at the age of 29.

The questionable lyric from the song goes, “Ustedes me han visto con los mismo mientras ustedes son amigo de todo el mundo como Balvin,” which translates to “You guys have seen me with the same people while you all are friends with the whole world like Balvin.” J Balvin took to Instagram Live to express his confusion about the line, as the two artists are friends and even released a joint album, “Oasis,” in 2019.

“I think he’s an incredible artist,” said 38-year-old Balvin in a fan-captured screen recording shared on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter). “The person I know is amazing. We have supported each other, made history together, and created a new story in music. I don’t understand what was going through his head, but the guy I know is a good person.”

Both J Balvin and Bad Bunny’s representatives have been contacted by The Post for comment regarding the situation.

Aside from “Thunder Y Lightning,” Bad Bunny’s new album holds other headline-making songs. In “Fina,” he hints at having had sexual relations with his rumored girlfriend, 27-year-old Kendall Jenner, at one of the Kardashian/Jenner sisters’ houses.

“Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana,” the 22-track album from the reggaetonero, follows shortly after Bad Bunny’s successful stint at the 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards. The “Dakiti” rapper took home a whopping seven awards, including the prestigious artist of the year title. He also graced the stage to perform a medley of his recent hits.
