Draymond Green was ejected from the Warriors’ 118-110 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday after accumulating two technical fouls. Despite his third-quarter attempts to rally his team, the player demonstrated overzealous behavior, ending up in an ultimate ejection. After picking Donovan Mitchell’s pocket and drawing a foul on the All-Star guard, Green bumped Mitchell out of bounds on a Caris LeVert layup, which initiated a fierce encounter between the players. The officials retroactively assessed a technical foul to Green for this incident.
After the game, Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff praised his players for standing their ground, expressing pride in their ability to defend themselves. LeVert commended his team’s response, saying that the players settled down and rallied back in the fourth quarter. Despite the Warriors’ 31-16 third-quarter comeback, the Cavaliers ultimately prevailed, securing their second win over the Warriors in a week.
