Inside Britney Spears’ Residence: The Police Conducted 4 Wellness Checks in the Last 2 Years

  • Police have been called to Britney Spears’ home 21 times in the last four years, according to records.
  • Since November 2021, authorities have conducted four wellness checks at the singer’s residence.
  • One of the checks was prompted by Spears’ fans who called the police after she deactivated her Instagram.

Records show that local police have visited Britney Spears’ California home multiple times in recent years. At least four wellness checks have been conducted during the 41-year-old pop star’s engagement and marriage to her now-estranged husband Sam Asghari, 29.

According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department records obtained by Insider, authorities were called to Spears’ Thousand Oaks home 21 times between January 1, 2019, and August 20, 2023. The calls were often related to concerns about suspicious people or vehicles on her property and incidents of suspected trespassing.

Four of these calls were wellness checks, which are requested when someone expresses concern for an individual’s well-being. The details of these wellness checks are not specified in the call log.

One of the wellness checks was prompted by Spears’ fans after she briefly deactivated her Instagram account in January 2023, as per her statement.

These records provide insight into Spears’ daily life and the potential stressors she faced while rebuilding her life and public image after being released from her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021.

The first wellness check at Spears’ home took place on November 25, 2021, shortly after she announced her engagement to Asghari on Instagram and two weeks after the termination of her conservatorship.

The following welfare call occurred on January 23, 2022.

On June 9, 2022, Spears and Asghari got married in a ceremony at their Thousand Oaks residence. However, police were called to the wedding when Jason Alexander, the singer’s former husband of 55 hours, live-streamed an attempt to crash the event. He was later charged with felony stalking.

More wellness checks were conducted at Spears’ residence on December 2, 2022, and January 24, 2023.

Spears addressed the January wellness check in a series of tweets, expressing shock that fans were concerned and called the police to her house after she deactivated her Instagram account.

In her words, “It really was uncalled for. I adore my fans, but those who did that aren’t real fans, and I honestly felt like it was a way to make me look bad!!!”

Spears and Asghari were married for 14 months before Asghari surprised her by filing for divorce in August 2023, citing irreconcilable differences. Spears shared her thoughts on the divorce on Instagram, emphasizing that the reasons behind it are private.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department call log highlights five incidents related to suspicious vehicles, people, or circumstances at Spears’ home since January 2019. Additionally, three trespassing incidents occurred, along with other requests and follow-ups.
