Indio Residence: Authorities Discover Stolen Property Valued around $40,000

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s La Quinta Special Enforcement Team made a significant discovery over the weekend, locating about $40,000 worth of stolen property in Indio.

The incident took place on July 24 when deputies were called to a burglarized storage unit in the 46600 block of Adams Street in La Quinta. The stolen property was estimated to be worth around $50,000.

Thanks to their investigative efforts, authorities were able to identify a suspect vehicle and track it down to a residence in the 44800 block of King Street in Indio.

The La Quinta Special Enforcement Team, along with the assistance of the Thermal Station Special Investigations Unit and the Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District Team, executed a search warrant at the aforementioned residence.

During the search, they recovered approximately $40,000 worth of the stolen property. Furthermore, law enforcement discovered a firearm and methamphetamine in a separate room within the residence, as confirmed by Corporal Phillip Lorton.

David Wilson, a 66-year-old resident of Indio, was identified as the alleged possessor of the stolen property. Charges against him were expected to be filed, although he was not in custody at the time, according to Lorton.

Additionally, Omar Rivera, a 44-year-old resident of Indio, was found to be in possession of the firearm and methamphetamine. Similar charges were anticipated to be filed against him, even though he was not in custody, as stated by Lorton.
