Shannen Doherty announced on Instagram that her cancer has metastasized to her brain. The actress shared emotional videos of herself receiving a CT scan and finding out the news about the metastases, which she refers to as “mets”. On January 5th, her doctors found the metastases, and she began radiation on January 12th. Despite being claustrophobic, she praised the doctors and techs at Cedar Sinai for taking care of her during this difficult time. Doherty was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and entered remission in 2017. In 2018, her tumor markers were found to be elevated, but she tried to stay positive. By 2020, she was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Despite this, Doherty has continued to work on various projects, with a desire for people not to write her off due to her diagnosis. She became well-known for her role on “Beverly Hills, 90210”, which she starred in during the 90s.
