A suspect in the gruesome murders of a family and their three dogs in the Chicago area met a tragic end on an Oklahoma highway. Nathaniel Huey Jr., a 31-year-old resident of Illinois, was the suspect in question. According to NBC News, police attempted to stop a vehicle that Huey was in with a woman, who is also considered a person of interest, after scanning its license plate with a camera on I-44 near Catoosa. The suspicious driver immediately attempted to evade the officers, resulting in a single-car crash. In a turn of events, gunshots from the burning vehicle were heard by the officers, and Huey was found dead in the driver’s seat.
The woman, believed to be in a relationship with Huey, was critically injured in the passenger seat. Both of them had gunshot wounds. Fox23 reported that the woman had been reported missing by her family. It was reported that Alberto Rolon, 38; Zoraida Bartolomei, 32; and their 7- and 9-year-old sons were shot to death along with their three dogs at their Romeoville home on Saturday night or early Sunday.
