According to WGRZ, Burham managed to escape by climbing on exercise equipment and using bedsheets tied together. Multiple police agencies surrounded a residence on Water Street in Warren on Friday night, issuing commands through a loudspeaker for anyone inside the house to exit with their hands raised. It remains uncertain whether anyone left the premises, but Warren police stated on Saturday morning that federal, state, and local agencies are still searching for Burham, as his whereabouts are unknown.
The police had previously described Burham as someone with extensive survivalist knowledge. Warren Police Department Captain Jeff Dougherty emphasized that Burham has a history of these types of acts and is skilled at surviving in the wild.
