I Spent $17 on a Burger King Burger Packed with 20 Cheese Slices on a Single Bun

  • Burger King Thailand is offering a unique “real cheese burger” packed with a whopping 20 slices of cheese for just $3.14.
  • Curious about this cheesy creation, I decided to inquire at my local Burger King outlet in Singapore. To my surprise, they quoted a staggering $17 for the same burger.
  • Disappointed with the exorbitant price, I decided to give it a try anyways. The burger turned out to be disappointingly rubbery in texture, and the overpowering taste of Kraft American cheese left much to be desired.

Over the weekend, Burger King made a buzz on Facebook with their new creation, a cheeseburger featuring up to 20 slices of cheese on a single bun. Users flooded the comments section with excitement, remarking on the burger’s mouthwatering appearance and expressing their desire to give it a try.

Naturally, I was eager to taste this innovative burger. Unfortunately, it seemed unavailable outside of Thailand. It’s worth mentioning that I’m a devoted Burger King fan and often indulge in their beef burgers. Frankly, a meatless, cheese-stacked “burger” isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when Burger King is mentioned.

Undeterred, my editor challenged me to reach out to local Burger King outlets in Singapore and see if they would recreate this intriguing “real cheese burger.” Considering Burger King’s famous slogan “Have It Your Way,” we thought there was a chance they would oblige.

In a classic Burger King commercial from 1974, the slogan was prominently featured. The ad showcased a staff member customizing burgers, accommodating special requests such as removing pickles or adding extra ketchup, all with a jovial attitude.

Eager to put their slogan to the test, I visited a nearby Burger King for dinner on Wednesday, hoping they would recreate the now-infamous “real cheese burger.”
