After 27 years of marriage, Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness have announced their separation.
In a statement first shared with People and confirmed by CNN, the couple expressed gratitude for their 27 years together and announced their decision to separate in order to pursue personal growth.
They emphasized that their family will always be their highest priority and asked for privacy as they navigate this transition in their lives.
Jackman and Furness first met in 1995 on the set of the television series “Corelli” and got married the following year. They have two children together, Oscar (23) and Ava (18).
In April, Jackman paid tribute to Furness in an Instagram post on their most recent wedding anniversary, expressing his love and gratitude for their beautiful family and life together.
