Is the New Titanium iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max as Solid as It Seems? Apple Issues Urgent Update

Apple may have hit a snag with the new titanium iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. The tech giant recently released a critical update for its latest smartphone following reports of bugs linked to virtual payments and car-related uses.

Specifically, numerous BMW owners reported that the near field communication (NFC) features like Apple Pay broke when their iPhone 15 series phones were wirelessly charged in their vehicles. Virtual keys for BMW and Toyota Supra failed as well, prompting Apple to release update 17.1.1 to address these issues along with a weather icon lock screen glitch.

Installing the fix is simple enough — users can just go to their settings and find the “software update” tab while their phone is connected to a power source and WiFi. Apple has also been holding off on developing new software updates for next year to fix code glitches on current devices.

But that’s not all. The titanium iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max have also come under scrutiny for uncomfortably overheating during usage. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo warned that this phenomenon is likely connected to design “compromises” to reduce the phone’s weight.

Apple blamed software and app-related bugs for the overheating issue, not its titanium frame. For more details, visit The New York Post.
