Following the surgery, Krafty experienced some paralysis on her left side.
After arriving at Cleveland Clinic for rehabilitation on September 20, Krafty has made remarkable progress in just over a week. She is now able to walk without a walker or wheelchair. Krafty’s mother, Jill Edwards, described her daughter as an incredibly positive and happy person who refuses to let her situation bring her down.
While Krafty was disappointed about missing her homecoming dance, her caregivers quickly arranged a special dinner for her and her boyfriend in her hospital room.
