Hospital Restroom Scandal: Felon’s Court Date for Secretly Recording Women

A 27-year-old parolee has been arrested for allegedly secretly recording visitors in a women’s restroom at a Riverside hospital. The suspect, Sergio Eduardo Quezada, is set to be arraigned at the Riverside Hall of Justice.

Last month, the Riverside Police Department conducted an investigation at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center on Magnolia Avenue, leading to Quezada’s arrest. He faces charges of unlawfully concealing a camera to capture video without consent, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia, both of which are misdemeanors.

Quezada is currently being held without bail at the Robert Presley Jail due to parole violations. He was scheduled to appear before Riverside County Superior Court Commissioner Eric Isaac on Wednesday.

The incident took place on August 2 at Kaiser, when security personnel received reports of a man hiding in the women’s restroom, recording visitors in the bathroom stalls. Guards apprehended Quezada and held him until patrol officers arrived and took him into custody.

The police department confirmed that Quezada had a drug pipe in his possession, and evidence on his phone linked him to the illegal recordings. The number of victims has not been disclosed.

Kaiser Permanente issued a statement expressing awareness of the incident and cooperation with law enforcement. They emphasized their commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for everyone who visits their facilities.

Quezada’s status as a parolee allowed officers to place a no-bail hold on him due to his criminal history, which includes convictions for auto theft, evading arrest, receiving stolen property, and felony vandalism.
