Hospital Restroom: Felon Under Investigation for Illegally Recording Women

A 27-year-old parolee, suspected of surreptitiously recording people in a women’s restroom at a Riverside hospital, has been detained without bail. Sergio Eduardo Quezada was arrested on Wednesday and is facing charges of misdemeanor privacy violations, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and parole violations.

According to the Riverside Police Department, the security personnel at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center were alerted to Quezada’s presence in the women’s lavatory. He was hiding in a stall and recording unsuspecting visitors. The security guards immediately confronted and detained him until patrol officers arrived and took him into custody without incident. Upon searching him, officers found a drug pipe, and evidence on his phone linked him to the illegal recordings.

As Quezada is currently on parole, a no-bail hold has been placed on him pending his court appearance, scheduled for Friday afternoon at the Riverside Hall of Justice.

Further information about Quezada’s prior convictions is not available at this time.
