Heated Legal Battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Intensifies

In a recent court filing, Angelina Jolie’s former investment company, Nouvel, has made serious allegations against Brad Pitt, accusing him of “looting” the assets of their former jointly-owned French estate and winery, Chateau Miraval. This is in response to Pitt’s lawsuit last year, where he claimed that Jolie’s sale of the estate after their divorce was “unlawful.” Pitt argued that they had agreed back in 2008 that neither of them would sell the property without the other’s consent. However, Jolie counter-sued, stating that there was no such agreement and that her intention was to achieve “financial independence” by selling her stake in the winery. According to CNN, the new court documents filed by Nouvel reveal that Pitt and what they refer to as “co-conspirators” have been stripping the winery’s assets in an attempt to maintain control of the property.

The court documents further claim that “Pitt wasted the company’s assets” by spending exorbitant amounts on vanity projects, including over $1 million on swimming pool renovations, rebuilding a staircase four times, and investing millions in restoring a recording studio. Additionally, Angelina Jolie recently submitted court documents in which she mocked Pitt’s assertion that he “built” their French wine business, as reported by the New York Post. According to Jolie, Pitt’s involvement was minimal, at best, as he simply visited the vineyards to admire the work of the hardworking French laborers who actually played a significant role in building the business.
