After spending a week in Dusseldorf, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex enjoyed a “lightning romantic escape” to the village of Melides in Portugal’s Alentejo region. This village is home to Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.
Eugenie and Jack have strong connections to the region, with Jack working in marketing and sales at the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club where the Sussexes stayed. Portuguese magazine Nova Gente confirmed their visit, stating that the couple stopped over in Portugal before heading back to California.
Despite his strained relationship with most of his family, Prince Harry has maintained a close bond with Eugenie. He even featured her in his Netflix series last December, showing glimpses of their outings together.

According to witnesses, the Sussexes left Portugal on September 20 on a British Airways flight to London Heathrow, accompanied by two bodyguards. Meghan was described as wearing a dress with cropped sleeves and flat shoes, appearing tired after the Invictus Games.
Jose Santos, the head of the Alentejo Tourist Board, confirmed Harry and Meghan’s stay in the region. He mentioned that they were at the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club resort for a short period and expressed confidence that they would return to enjoy the region’s attractions.
Santos also highlighted the appeal of Alentejo to international visitors, particularly those in the cinema, royalty, arts, design, and fashion industries who value discreet travel and can find it in Alentejo.
