Harrison Ford is currently undergoing rehabilitation and physical therapy to maintain his fitness as he recovers from various injuries.

In a recent interview with People, the iconic 80-year-old actor shared insights into his active lifestyle. Ford, renowned for his roles in action-packed blockbusters such as “Air Force One” and the “Star Wars” franchise, as well as his portrayal of the beloved Indiana Jones, discussed his commitment to staying physically engaged. He is set to portray Indiana Jones once again in the upcoming film “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.”

“I don’t engage in physical training per se. Rather, I focus on rehabilitating my body through physical therapy,” explained Ford. “At this stage, I feel like an old man.”

He elaborated, stating, “As I recover from my injuries, I make sure to keep myself moving. I used to enjoy playing tennis and going on long-distance bike rides. However, due to my shoulder injuries, I can no longer play tennis. Nonetheless, I’m working towards regaining my ability to play, and I look forward to cycling again.”

Ford acknowledged his physical challenges and expressed his determination to overcome them. He has encountered various accidents throughout his career, both on and off set. Notably, he tore his ACL while filming “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and suffered a spinal injury from riding elephants during the production of “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.” In 2015, he crash-landed a plane on a Los Angeles golf course, resulting in moderate injuries.

Ford confirmed during Disney’s D23 Expo convention in September 2022 that this would mark his final performance as Indiana Jones.

“Indiana Jones movies are known for their sense of mystery, adventure, and heartfelt stories,” Ford emphasized. “It’s going to be an incredible movie that will leave a lasting impact.”
