Two teenage boys, Sergey Burkaev, 16, and Konstantin Surkov, 17, were accused and have confessed to the murder and rape of five people, including four women, at a house party in Kumertau, Russia. The gruesome act occurred when the duo reportedly flew into a violent rage after accusing fellow party guest Sidor Fokine, 22, of stealing their mobile phones. They stabbed him to death in front of the other female party-goers, who they feared would identify them as the killers. The accused also raped one female guest before slitting her throat and burning the bodies, including 16-year-old Maria Sorokina, in whose flat they were partying. While the only motivation cited was alcohol intoxication, if convicted, the accused face life in jail for this horrific act.
