Group of 30 Physicists Suggest Silent, Disc-shaped UFO Witnessed by 12 United Airlines Staff at Chicago Airport Could Unlock Interstellar Space Travel

An esteemed group of physicists from Applied Physics, a privately funded research organization, suggests that the famous UFO sighting in Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport in 2006 may offer insights into the possibility of faster-than-light space travel. Leading astrophysicist Alexey Bobrick, Chief Science Officer of Applied Physics, published calculations in 2021 that describe the ideal shape of an Alcubierre drive vehicle in the peer-reviewed journal Classical and Quantum Gravity. Bobrick suggests that a flat shape may be the most energy-efficient design. The team recognizes that more data is needed to fully investigate sightings like the O’Hare incident and emphasizes the importance of pursing the truth and removing the stigma associated with UFO research.

While the FAA dismissed the O’Hare incident as a weather phenomenon, the lack of radar return from the object could potentially be explained by the behavior of a warp bubble created by an Alcubierre warp drive. Light rays approaching from behind would diverge away from the object, making it difficult to detect on radar. The team believes that the radar cross-section of a device powered by an Alcubierre warp drive would be incredibly small. However, due to the absence of concrete evidence, the physicists cautiously refrain from drawing definitive conclusions about the object’s origins.

The study of the O’Hare UFO case serves as a thought experiment for the Applied Physics team’s Advanced Propulsion Laboratory and Physical Warp Drives project.
