Get Valuable Insights from Tia Mowry on Navigating Toxic Relationships

Tia Mowry recently shared some empowering words for women embarking on new chapters in their lives.

During an appearance on “Chris GQ Perry” on YouTube last week, the “Family Reunion” actress was asked to share advice for women struggling to leave unhealthy relationships.

“I think what I would say to her is, first and foremost, focus on self-love,” Mowry responded. “Take the time to deeply explore yourself, understand yourself, and embrace solitude.”

According to Mowry, women often struggle to leave toxic relationships because they lack self-love.

“They prioritize their partner’s happiness over their own,” she said. “But when you truly love yourself, you recognize your self-worth, value, and what you deserve.”

Mowry has been open about her own divorce from fellow actor Cory Hardrict. In October 2022, after 14 years of marriage and over 20 years as a couple, she announced their split on Instagram. They have two children together: a son named Cree, 12, and a daughter named Cairo, 5. Their divorce was finalized in April, according to People.

In an interview with HelloBeautiful in June, Mowry revealed that her children played a significant role in her decision to get a divorce. She wanted her kids to witness their mother living authentically.

“It wasn’t an easy choice, but it’s a valuable lesson for them,” she said at the time.

In August, Mowry shared her experience reentering the dating scene after her divorce. She expressed feeling nervous and scared but relied on her faith to navigate the unknown territory.

“Even at this age, I feel inexperienced!” she wrote on Instagram. “But despite the potential for discomfort and heartbreak, I trust in God’s plan!”

She added, “So if you’re feeling apprehensive about new experiences, remember that you’re capable, and we’re in this journey together!”
