Excitement fills the air for Samsung aficionados this week with the release of the Android 14-based One UI 6 update for a variety of eligible Galaxy smartphones and a tablet. The update has been rolled out to all of the company’s 2023 flagships, although it may not be available everywhere just yet, as well as a few mid-range phones.
For those who were part of the One UI 6 beta program, the official One UI 6 update for the Galaxy S23 was initially made available. As for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, Samsung took an opposite approach, choosing to first launch the stable update for Android 13 users.

But for beta users, the wait is over, as Samsung has officially announced the end of the beta program and has gone ahead to release the final update for those currently running the test version of Android 14 and One UI 6. A similar update should follow soon for Galaxy Z Flip 5 owners.
Smaller Download Size for Stable Z Fold 5 Android 14 Update
As the update now transitions from the beta firmware to the stable one, its download size is significantly smaller at around 450 MB. Although Samsung has not specified if this particular update addresses additional bugs or makes improvements, it’s hoped that any issues experienced on the latest beta build will be resolved once the stable version is installed.
To get the One UI 6 update on your Galaxy Z Fold 5, simply navigate to the Settings app on the phone, select Software update, and tap Download and install. As an alternative, you can download the full Android 14 firmware from our archive and install it on the phone using a Windows PC. This method works regardless of whether you’re using the Android 14 beta or Android 13.
