Get the Inside Scoop: Bowen Yang on Playing George Santos, His OnlyFans, and Botox Splurges

Bowen Yang portrayed U.S. Representative George Santos, who found himself embroiled in an investigation into his campaign donation spending during the “Saturday Night Live” Weekend Update.

Santos was discovered by a House Ethics Committee report to have utilized tens of thousands of campaign funds for luxury clothes, Botox, personal trips, casino visits, and more. Over $40,000 had not been reported to the Federal Election Commission and was used for personal expenses.

As Santos, Yang joined Weekend Update co-host Colin Jost to address the illicit spending. “George, this is serious. They’re calling for your expulsion,” Jost said. “Well then, girl, ‘expul’ me!” Yang’s Santos retorted.

“Isn’t Congress kind of like OnlyFans anyway? People paying you to do nasty things on a sad, bad livestream?” he said, trying to defend himself.

Similar to the real Santos, Yang’s character couldn’t stop getting caught in absurd lies, such as starring in “Lady Marmalade 2” with Pink, Christina Aguilera, Myá and Lil’ Kim, being at the Stonewall riots, going to Martha Stewart’s Friendsgiving, and inventing the “Pitch Perfect” cup song.

Jason Momoa recently hosted “Saturday Night Live” ahead of his new DC movie, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” which premieres on Dec. 22. The highly anticipated sequel to his 2018 film “Aquaman” was a fan favorite and grossed over $1 billion at the box office.

This season of “Saturday Night Live” has featured a lineup of diverse hosts including Pete Davidson, Bad Bunny, Nate Bargatze, and Timothee Chalamet, along with musical guests Ice Spice, the Foo Fighters, and Boygenius. Celebrity cameos this season include Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, Pedro Pascal, Lady Gaga, Mick Jagger, Alec Baldwin, Christopher Walken, and more.
