Samsung is rumored to announce the Galaxy S24 series in mid-January 2024, more than a month from the launch event. Most of the specifications of the upcoming high-end devices have leaked already, along with their possible design. A real-life image of the Galaxy S24 Ultra has also been leaked, providing an idea of how its S Pen might look.
Galaxy S24 Ultra’s S Pen Receives FCC Certification
The Galaxy S24 Ultra’s S Pen stylus has successfully passed through the FCC certification process in the US (via MySmartPrice), unveiling its design and other relevant details. The S Pen carries model number EJ-PS928 and its FCC ID was A3LEJPS928. The device’s design is similar to the S Pen that came bundled with the Galaxy S23 Ultra, featuring a sharp but plasticky nib, an indent on the top, and a button. It also boasts Bluetooth LE connectivity for gestures, with its Bluetooth LE antenna location displayed in an image.
The S Pen is showcased in its Grey/Graphite color in the image above, but additional color options are expected. Per FCC documents, its frequency range is 2,402 – 2,408MHz, with a maximum RF (Radio Frequency) output power of 1.082mW. It remains unclear whether the S Pen carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The details can be seen in the images below.
Rumored Galaxy S24 Ultra Specifications
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with an almost flat design. It’s rumored to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy processor, 8GB/12GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage, a 5,000mAh battery, and stereo speakers. The camera setup may include a 200MP primary camera, 12MP ultrawide camera, 10MP telephoto camera, 50MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP selfie camera. Additionally, it could feature two-way satellite connectivity for emergency texting and calling.
