Former President Donald Trump’s bond has been set at $200,000 in the Georgia case where he is accused of illegally scheming to overturn his 2020 election loss. The court papers filed on Monday reveal this development.

As per the bond agreement, signed by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and Trump’s defense attorneys, Trump is prohibited from intimidating co-defendants, witnesses, or victims in the case, including on social media.

The order explicitly states that Trump cannot make any direct or indirect threats against witnesses or co-defendants, including posts or reposts on social media.

Furthermore, Trump is not allowed to communicate about the facts of the case with any co-defendant or witness, except through attorneys.

The bond amount for the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) charge is set at $80,000, with an additional $10,000 for each of the other 12 counts Trump is facing.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has set a deadline of noon Friday for Trump and his 18 co-defendants to surrender themselves at the Fulton County Jail for booking.

Last week, Trump was charged in this case alongside allies who allegedly conspired to subvert the will of voters in an attempt to retain power after losing to Democrat Joe Biden. Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing and has publicly criticized Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, who refused to overturn the election results.

Willis has proposed arraignments for the defendants to take place during the week of September 5, with the trial scheduled for March.

Additionally, bond amounts were set for three lawyers indicted along with Trump. For the RICO charge, each of them has a bond set at $20,000, along with varying amounts for the other charges they face. Bail bondsman Scott Hall, accused of participating in a breach of election equipment in rural Coffee County, has a bond set at $10,000.

It’s worth noting that this is the fourth criminal case against the former president, who is currently campaigning for the 2024 White House race.
