Life After Covid: Dr. Anthony Fauci Appointed as Distinguished University Professor at Georgetown University’s Department of Medicine
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the chief medical advisor to the Biden White House and long-serving director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, is taking on a new role teaching college students about his experiences managing the Covid pandemic.
Starting in July, Dr. Fauci will assume the position of “distinguished university professor” at Georgetown University’s Department of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases. The specific fee for this position has not been disclosed yet. Additionally, Dr. Fauci will also hold a position with Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy.

‘I am delighted to join the Georgetown family,’ Fauci said in a statement, ‘an institution known for its commitment to clinical and academic excellence and the Jesuit tradition of public service.’
‘This opportunity is a natural extension of my scientific, clinical, and public health career,’ he continued, ‘which I attribute in part to my experiences in high school and college where I was exposed to the intellectual rigor, integrity, and service-oriented mindset of Jesuit institutions.’
Dr. Fauci, whose net worth is estimated at over $12 million, has faced criticism for his handling of the pandemic. However, his expertise and contributions cannot be denied. Throughout his career, he has advised every US president since Ronald Reagan and played a crucial role in addressing public health crises such as HIV/AIDS and Covid-19.
