The price of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County continues its upward trend, increasing for the eighth consecutive day and 13th time in the past 14 days. The average price has risen by 1.1 cents to $4.987 per gallon.
Over the past two weeks, the average price has gone up by 9.9 cents, with a slight increase of seven-tenths of a cent on Wednesday. After five consecutive days of rising prices, there was a small drop of one-tenth of a cent on July 5, followed by another increase the next day.
Compared to one week ago, the average price is now 6.3 cents higher, and it has increased by 2.1 cents compared to one month ago. However, it is still $1.109 lower than the price recorded one year ago. Since reaching a record high of $6.494 on October 5, the price has dropped by $1.507.
In Orange County, the average price of gasoline has increased for the sixth time in the last seven days, with a 1-cent rise to $4.932 per gallon. In the past week, the average price has gone up by 7.2 cents, including an increase of eight-tenths of a cent on Wednesday.
Compared to one month ago, the average price is now 3 cents higher, but it is $1.058 lower than the price recorded one year ago. Since reaching a record high of $6.459 on October 5, the price has dropped by $1.527.
On a national level, the average price of gasoline saw its largest increase since June 9, rising by 1.4 cents to $3.555 per gallon, the day after remaining unchanged. The current national average price is 2.6 cents higher than one week ago, but it is 3.7 cents lower than one month ago and $1.076 lower than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped by $1.461 since reaching a record high of $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
