French-Inspired Food Truck “A Little Paris” Introduces Authentic Creperie Experience to Albany Region

With the arrival of warmer weather, the streets are once again filled with food trucks offering a variety of cuisines at local markets, outdoor activities, and around the Capitol. In this edition of our occasional series on food trucks and their operators, we had the opportunity to chat with the co-owners of A Little Paris Food Truck, Bob and Bonnie Warren.

How did A Little Paris Food Truck come into existence?

Bonnie, who was a high school French teacher for 30 years and has traveled to France numerous times, developed a love for crêpes and cooking them during her travels. In March of 2022, she suggested to Bob, her partner, that they start a crêperie food truck as a retirement venture. Agreeing to the idea, they bought a food truck one month later, made the necessary modifications, and opened “A Little Paris” in their hometown in June. They decided to keep their plans secret as they anticipated doubts from friends and family about the viability of a French food truck in a small town. However, the truck has exceeded their expectations and continues to attract new customers.

How would you describe the culture of A Little Paris Food Truck?

Similar to the crêpe wagons found in the park along the Champs-Elysées, A Little Paris serves dinner and dessert crêpes, croissants, and French beverages. Customers have the option to dine at their outdoor café, complete with French background music, or take their food to go. With A Little Paris, there’s no need for plane tickets to experience the City of Light and Love.

What are the most popular items on your menu?

The Eiffel Tower crêpe is a crowd favorite, featuring shredded chicken breast seasoned with herbes de Provence, garlic, and olive oil, along with ham, gruyère cheese, sautéed onions, and Dijon béchamel sauce. As for the sweet crêpes, the Renoir is a hit among customers, made with fresh raspberries, raspberry jam, sweet cream, and dark chocolate.

Where can people find A Little Paris Food Truck? Do you have regular stops?

A Little Paris is located at 525 State Route 29 in Greenwich and operates on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from noon to 7 p.m. Please note that the truck will be on a brief break until September 14th.
