August 14, 2023 (UPI) — Former contestant of the hit TV show The Bachelor, Jade Roper, recently revealed the heartbreaking news of a “devastating” miscarriage.
In an emotional Instagram post shared on Sunday, the 36-year-old television personality opened up about her experience with a “missed miscarriage.” Roper and her husband, Bachelor in Paradise co-star Tanner Tolbert, were expecting their fourth child.
Accompanying her heartfelt message were photos of Roper cradling her baby bump.
The star began her post by expressing the difficulty she faced in finding the right words to describe her journey through miscarriage. She had been filled with joy and anticipation, believing that her dreams of expanding her family were coming true. However, she now finds herself in the midst of deep and complex grief.
Roper shared that she is currently experiencing a “missed miscarriage,” a situation in which her body has not yet released the pregnancy despite the baby’s heart having stopped beating and growth ceasing for a while now. She expressed her hope for a natural process and her trust in her body’s capabilities under the care of her healthcare provider.
While she continues to carry her unborn son with pride, Roper acknowledged the immense challenges and devastation that come with this experience. She spoke of her baby’s soul soaring as his body rests in her womb.
The post concluded with Roper’s heartfelt message to her baby Beau, affirming her unwavering love for him.
