DUNEDIN, New Zealand–Switzerland had a successful start to their Fifa Women’s World Cup campaign, defeating the debutant Philippines with a 2-0 victory at Dunedin Stadium on Friday. Ramona Bachmann scored a penalty in the first half, and Seraina Piubel added a close-range goal.
