Fetterman proudly displays Israeli flag at impassioned cease-fire protests

Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa.) sparked controversy by waving an Israeli flag at protesters calling for a cease-fire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

“Jackass @JohnFetterman saw veterans getting arrested and laughed,” the veterans against war group About Face posted Thursday on X, which appeared to show the Pennsylvania senator walking by the protesters with the flag.

“We asked to see @SenGillibrand. We were put in cuffs. We need leaders who listen to veterans demanding a #CeaseFireNow,” the post continued, referencing the group’s arrest for protesting in New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s (D) office.

Fetterman has remained a staunch supporter of Israel during its conflict with Hamas. He previously criticized some of his Democratic colleagues for hasty blame on Israel regarding a hospital blast.

On Wednesday, Fetterman shared a video of what he claimed were “posters of the innocent Israelis kidnapped by Hamas” displayed in his office.

Recent events have led to increased tension in the region, with Hamas launching a surprise attack last month leading to the current conflict and significant casualties on both sides.
