The unfortunate crash occurred at approximately 5:58 p.m. on Saturday, at the intersection of South Sepulveda Boulevard and Ohio Avenue. The Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey provided these details.
The location of the accident is adjacent to the renowned Bad News Bears Field and lies just a few blocks north of Santa Monica Boulevard.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a Honda Civic traveling northbound on Sepulveda collided with a BMW i4. The Firefighters utilized hydraulic tools to extricate the injured individuals, who were then transported to a regional trauma center, as disclosed by Humphrey.
Regrettably, the driver and passenger of the BMW succumbed to their injuries while receiving medical treatment. The motorist in the Honda was urgently taken to the hospital, where they remain in critical condition, stated the police.
Furthermore, two brave Good Samaritans, who made noble attempts to free the trapped victims prior to the arrival of firefighters, sustained minor injuries. However, they declined medical assistance, according to Humphrey.
