Despite previous defense of their abilities, the hope for a turnaround is waning. Pascal Siakam, PF/C for the Toronto Raptors, is currently ranked outside of the top 150 in the fantasy category. He was a third-round pick in most fantasy drafts, making his current ranking especially disappointing for managers.
Following his 31-point performance in Wednesday’s game against the Mavericks, Siakam is still struggling compared to his career numbers. Furthermore, the new offensive emphasis on the Raptors may be impacting his performance, as Scottie Barnes and Dennis Schroder outshine him this season. However, Siakam’s past success and looming free agency make it likely that he will bounce back. So, while there is hope for Siakam, a trade might be worth considering.
On the other hand, Andrew Wiggins, SF/PF for the Golden State Warriors, is experiencing an exceptionally poor performance in fantasy. His numbers are suffering significantly, and his playing time is at a career low. Even the coach’s confidence in him isn’t diminishing the concern, as his defensive ratings continue to decrease. If his performance doesn’t improve soon, it’s possible that Wiggins needs a break to reset. However, it might be best to hold onto him for a bit longer in leagues with 12 or more teams before conceding defeat.
