In the Brussels meeting, Luft informed the DOJ and FBI that Joe Biden had attended a meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, DC, with his son Hunter and CEFC officials. This information was later corroborated when the FBI interviewed another attendee, Rob Walker, a Biden family associate. Luft disclosed that CEFC was paying Hunter and his uncle Jim Biden for their FBI connections and use of the Biden name to promote China’s Belt and Road Initiative. The Oversight Committee has requested Walker’s questioning about his role in distributing over $1 million from China to President Biden’s relatives.
According to Luft, a delegation of six people from the DOJ met with him in Brussels. Among them were four FBI agents and two prosecutors. Luft questions why so many people were sent when he believed he was a credible witness with insider knowledge about the individuals who enriched the Biden family.
Luft explains that he had previously partnered with a think tank associated with CEFC, which is how he learned about Hunter and Jim Biden’s payments. He mentions that when CEFC executive Patrick Ho was arrested on bribery charges, he tried to contact Hunter Biden. However, prosecutors prevented Ho from mentioning the Bidens during his trial.
Luft denies being an arms dealer and says he was only asked to inquire about a product on behalf of an Israeli friend. He insists that there was no follow-up or illegal activity involved. He also questions why he is being indicted for ghostwriting an article for which he received no payment, while the Bidens’ alleged influence peddling goes unpunished.
