Exploring Aston Martin’s High Growth Opportunities in the Indian Market: British Luxury Brand Eyes Promising Prospects

British luxury brand Aston Martin has set its sights on growing its presence in the Indian market, capitalizing on the projected rise of high net worth individuals in the country, a senior company official revealed.

In a recent virtual press meet, Aston Martin Regional President – Asia Gregory Adams shared the company’s plans to tap into the expanding market. Moreover, Aston Martin launched its latest offering, the all-new DB12 coupe, in India just this Friday. The company currently moves around 10-15 units annually in the Indian market, but aims to substantially increase its sales figures in the coming years. Adams expressed optimism and stated, “We will be doing that with the current models plus EVs and other models so we have big aspirations.”

Aston Martin envisions a refreshed sports car lineup and intends to introduce hybrid supercar Valhalla and SUVs to the Indian market. Adams also disclosed the company’s goal of electrifying all its core vehicles by 2030. Additionally, Aston Martin is contemplating strategies to expand its sales network, which currently consists of only one outlet in the country. Their latest offering, the DB12 coupe, is priced at Rs 4.59 crore (excluding customization options).

“Dating back 95 of Aston Martin’s iconic 110 years, the history of Aston Martin in India is a long one, with the first Aston Martin imported into India in 1928 – an Aston Martin S-type sports. That arrival of the first Aston Martin in India has evolved into our clients enjoying the full Aston Martin range – from our ultra-luxury SUVs, the DBX & DBX707, to the Vantage sports cars, and now the world’s first Super Tourer DB12,” Adams explained.
